New Easter treats to light up Spring and Kawaii Box winner

Hello again Littlest Sweet Shoppers!

It's that time again to welcome our new Easter and Spring arrivals. This year we designed our new treats with signs of fresh new life - cute baby animals, blooming flowers, and fabulous Easter Eggs. You can find them in our Seasonal menu.
Littlest Sweet Shop 2016 collection
The daffodil fairy will plant the flower everywhere in England during the start of Spring. This Basket Cake with Daffodils marks the start of the season. A caramel basket weave design is iced all around the cake. The butter-cake is layered with a bright pink icing and topped with green fondant. Pretty mini daffodil flowers and leaves decorate the top.

Add some mini magic to your Easter celebration with these spectacular Easter centerpieces. The candy eggs are molded with pastel colours and even sparkly sugar inside! There is a delightful scene inside each egg and the whole egg nestles comfortably on a candy basket!
Duck sits on a mountain of jelly beans. Sheep is grazing in the fields. A pink bunny is hopping on a mushroom
That's not all! Each egg has also been intricately decorated on the back! We only use pastel and sweet colours for Easter.

As the weather gets warmer, little bugs and insects will come back to life again! This Beehive Cookie Tower is made using the most buttery shortcake and iced with honey glaze. We then added some cute bees (with pink wings!) and a chocolate entrance.

Kawaii Box Review and Give-away time!

advertorial

Hello Littlest Sweet Shoppers!

There are a million things I miss about Asia - the food, Daiso, the sun, shopping malls.....

It is definitely harder to get anything kawaii here in England (or anywhere in Europe) and usually I spend a lot of money buying merchandise directly from Japan. If I'm unlucky, the package will get taxed and I end up moaning and groaning about how it is so annoyingly hard to get any kawaii items here.

Then I discovered Kawaii Box - a monthly subscription service that will actually hand-select various items from Japan and Korea then package it with love and ship it directly to you (no matter where you are!). This way you will receive around 10-12 items enough to kawaii-fy your life for at least a month.

The October Kawaii Box included:
  • Meiji DIY Sushi-Bar Gummies
  • Animal Sticker Sheet
  • Neko Emoji Mini Mini Pouch
  • Jewelry Seal Deco Stickers
  • Popcorn Rolling Stamp Set
  • Heart Shaped Nail Flakes
  • Unchi Kun Poop Shaped Lollipop
  • Patterned Envelope Set
  • Finger Family Monster Pouch
  • Lollipop Pen
  • Flan Dakigurumi Plush Pouch
Kawaii Box October (minus the Flan Dakigurumi Plush Pouch )
The great thing about the Kawaii Box is the mix of items that has been carefully selected so you get a variety of products to suit your lifestyle. The biggest plus for me is that they will always include Japanese sweets in each box. Every month you get to sample another new Japanese candy!

The blue and pink lollipop pen looks so cute in my pencil holder.

The stickers were arctic animals themed so I thought they would be perfect to decorate hand-crafted Christmas cards. TIP: To make a kawaii Christmas Card, add stickers and paper snowflakes.

The patterned envelope was a great way to wrap up presents especially tiny ones like this Pikachu animal doughnut phone charm I made for a friend.

I've been studying how to read and write Japanese so I reward my hard work with a cute stamp from the Popcorn stamp set.
Popcorn roller stamp set
Flan Dakigurumi Plush Pouch isn't just another cute stuffed toy on my day bed. It has a zipper at the back so you can secretly stash items in there! The pouch is big enough to hold jewellery and cash. Nobody would suspect anything ^_^

Kawaii Box understands how we are all crafters and makes sure that they include items that will get your creative juices flowing! Jewelry Seal Deco Stickers can be used to add some pizzazz to any craft project. I decorated this cookie keychain with Tamiya's deco cream and blue icing and used the stickers to add some sparkle!

I don't paint or decorate my nails anymore because I do a lot of polymer clay modelling by hand. So instead of using the Heart Shaped Nail Flakes to decorate nails, I used it on my miniature food instead! Nail art items are great for miniatures since they are always made micro size. I used the heart flake and heart shape to decorate the new Valentine's Day collection.

Before I sign off, we would like to give you an opportunity to win a Kawaii Box for yourself! Anyone in the world can enter so don't miss out! Good luck :D

New In! Valentine's Day 2016 Collection

Happy New Year Littlest Sweet Shoppers!

2016 will be a great year for Littlest Sweet Shop. We are introducing 3 new menu categories including a Japanese menu where you can find sushi and bento sets! There will also be a new International menu that will have a mixture of everything! Of course this new collection will be introduced throughout the year.

I'm also currently learning Japanese so that I can successfully communicate with our Japanese Littlest Sweet Shoppers. It's a tough language to learn but I will try my best!

Our first post of the year will feature our new 2016 Valentine's Day collection. This time we have 6 brand new items for the collection and they are listed in our Seasonal menu.

Littlest Sweet Shop, home to Valentine's Day miniatures. The mini foiled heart chocolates can be found in our 'Sweets Boutique'
This year we also have a new girl joining us. Her name is Harumi and she's a Ruruko doll. She's an honorary Littlest Sweet Shopper helper and her pink maid outfit is almost similar to Akiko's.
Littlest Sweet Shop maids all in a row
Our first new item is the perfect Valentine's Day gift (when paired with a bouquet of red roses). This Valentine's Box of Candy is made from polymer clay so you can request your own in any colour of your choice. The one being showcased here is in pink pearl with a white bow.
Handmade heart shaped box with lid. The lid sits perfectly on top
This Box of Candy is so special because it comes with a dozen pieces of chocolate bonbons! Since we make everything bespoke, you can even select the type of bonbon that you (or the doll) prefer.
Each chocolate candy sits in its own individual compartments
Made perfectly to fit 1:6 scale dolls
The whole box is handmade with a fitted lid. Order yours in any colour!
Next, let's add some new cookies to the collection. This time they are Artisanal Chocolate Cookies that are intricately designed using soft pastel colours. I have levelled up in making detailed micro designs so I used the tip of a needle just to model the flowers!
Artisanal Chocolate Cookies
Here is an update to the Heart-shaped mini cakes. This time, we only iced the top so you can still see part of the light fluffy sponge cake. Comes in chocolate and vanilla flavours.

If you prefer something that is more plain and simple, grab a slice of Valentine's Pound Cake. Each slice is even iced and decorated with cute metallic hearts.

The Double hearts chocolate and marshmallow pops is so tiny so you can use it for 1:12 scenes as well. Each pop comes in yummy chocolate fudge and has a layer of marshmallow on top of it.

And our last item for this year's Valentine's Day collection is the heart shaped swirl lollipop. Just like our famous swirl lollipops but in a heart shape instead. The flavour is cherry red and ichigo pink! So sweet!
A bundle of Valentine's Day swirl lollipops
Everything is themed with bright pink and red! Akiko and Maya helps us to gauge the scale of the lollipop
Lastly, here are 2 cute new doughnuts that I made during Christmas holidays. Since winter is the worst time to do photo-shoots (and the macro photography using my novice camera needs real sunlight), here they are at last! You can also find them in the Seasonal menu.
Frosty is a sugar frosted doughnut with chocolate mouth and eyes and Rudolph is a PB & J doughnut with a red gummy nose and mini pretzel ears.

Since Valentine's Day is only a month away, please make sure you order as soon as possible. The shop will be closed for the whole month of February until mid-March. Don't fret as the new Easter/Spring collection will be introduced in March after I get back. Me and my husband are going to the exotic islands near Borneo for a whole month to escape the cold and bleak English winter.

That's all for now. I hope you like our new collection especially when there are so many new chocolatey treats! Please come visit again later next week for another Kawaii Box review!

Christmas Afternoon Tea Time! Featuring some new Mini Mince Pies and Carrot Cake

Happy Winter Littlest Sweet Shoppers!

I've been busy with commissions and Christmas preparations recently so there wasn't much time to craft anything new. I made a few bespoke charm bracelets (no photos unfortunately since there was no sun to take any good pictures) and Christmas presents for friends. Since the Littlest Sweet Shop is currently my full time job, I have to make presents for friends and crafting is time consuming.

If you have been busy running around to get ready for the busiest time of year, stop for half an hour and have a tea break! We have two new products that will be perfect for an afternoon tea during this holiday season. I even made the Christmas crackers with some recycled wrapping paper.

Have a Christmas afternoon tea with some delicious mince pies and a slice of carrot cake!
We already have large Mince Pies listed in our Seasonal menu. In England, Mince Pie is practically a Christmas staple. Now we have the mini versions to serve with tea. Like the real thing, each pie is frosted in powdered sugar.
Mini mince pies come dusted in powdered sugar
There is also Carrot Cake which you can find in our Cake menu. The cake is generously frosted in whipped cream cheese and coated in chopped nuts. Each slice is decorated with a marzipan carrot. I'm not sure why but I always associate Carrot Cake with Autumn and Winter.
Carrot Cake. Cream cheese icing, and half coated in chopped nuts.
Since everything from our shop is bespoke, why don't you order a single slice instead?
I'm ending this post with a picture of a charm bracelet I made for my friend. I hope she likes it!!

We can also make a custom charm bracelet for you!

New Christmas items and glazed doughnuts!

Hey Hey Littlest Sweet Shoppers!

I can't believe that Christmas is just around the corner! But the good news is that we are listing our new Christmas items today so you can order your special sweeties in time for the holidays. The shop will be closed from tomorrow and re-opening on the 26th of November. We won't be able to make any commissions when the shop is closed but you can still submit an order and get an estimate. All commissions will be completed when we re-open and priority will be given to Christmas orders.
Toy Train Cake with Gingerbread House, 3D Christmas Cookie Trees and Candy Cane Trees
So our first new Christmas item is this dinky little Toy Train cake! It comes with 5 carriages that will carry different sweets. Other cute details include chocolate cookie wheels on each carriage and train. The cake is also small enough to fit a 1/12 scene (looks small beside our 1/6 scale Gingerbread House).

As usual, everything is bespoke so you can choose the colour of your carriage and train. Find this and all of our other Christmas food in the Seasonal menu

Cake 'carriages' with mini candy canes, rainbow sweets, popcorn, fudge, mini marshmallows
Toy Train cake in Christmassy colous, chocolate cookie wheels and gold accents
Our next new item for Christmas is Stollen from Germany. It's a very stodgy loaf cake with plenty of raisins / candied fruit. The outside is dusted with powdered sugar and we already cut 3 slices out for you!
Littlest Sweet Shop Stollen has multi-coloured raisins inside!
Our last new item for November are 3 new doughnut varieties. I went back to basics and created some minimalist doughnuts that look so scrumptious! New doughnuts are now available in the Bakery menu.

Mmmmmmmmmm........doughnuts with coffee

The glossy-ness of the icing looks so sweet and sticky.
Not the usual ring shaped doughnuts, but still delightful
Our first new doughnut is the famous Maple bar. It is a long doughnut with a maple glaze. Bacon maple bar available upon request.

I do love twisty doughnuts as they look so pretty! This classic version is also glazed in sugar.
Glazed Twist doughnut
The last doughnut for the day is the standard Glazed doughnut that you can find in most doughnut shops. Therefore it would be weird if we didn't offer them, right?

I hope that our new arrivals have made you crave doughnuts with coffee! That's all folks.
