Gingerbread House

I managed to finish this big project a few days before Christmas and I'm quite satisfied it. I have spent almost 3 days to make, cure and paint the house including some gingerbread men and women.

These will soon be available in the seasonal section.

The house features realistic gingerbread house in 1/6 scale with candy decoration and sugar frosting (snow).

All sweets and candy are hand made by me.

New materials, tools and equipment

As it is Boxing Day today, I think it's appropriate to show some gifts that I received to benefit this wonderful hobby.

My husband bought me a DOZEN new fresh packs of clay, a beautiful hobby lamp (it is hard modelling in the dark especially in winter!) and I was lucky enough to use some free vouchers from Hobbycraft and Crafty Arts to stock up on some new modelling tools.

These new items can only mean bigger projects for 2013!

A dozen of polymer clay packs
More polymer clay!
Sculpey modelling tools. I only use FIMO (made in Germany) clay however most of my tools are from Sculpey
Sculpey clay conditioning machine, Oyumaru mould kit, Sculpey Bake and Bond

Beautiful chrome hobby lamp from my dear husband

Christmas Fayre

I apologise for not posting anything Christmas-y on this site! It's been a hectic December for me since I'm taking a big test just in the next few days.

I have brilliant realistic candy canes to show off as well as some traditional Christmas food. The chocolate log cake is dedicated to my mum who used to make it during Christmas.

These items are not listed on the site yet but please fill up the order form if you are interested.
Once I have (hopefully) passed my test, I will be on Christmas mode and my big project will be a Gingerbread house! Watch this space for that update.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Candy canes with brilliant detailing
Christmas pudding with brandy butter, chocolate log cake, strawberry tart, petits fours & cream puffs
The peppermint swirls are no bigger than my engagement ring diamond ;)
